Well, after watching Heroes today, I suddenly got the urge to pause the tv screen and start drawing Peter Petrelli.
I thought should I bother, as usually I can't draw real people at all, but baring that in mind, I decided to start drawing him anyway.
It took about 3 hours to draw (most likely due to how much shading was needed), and I tried to get him looking as much like Peter Petrelli as possible, even if it felt a little strange to me with the shape of his face. Most likely because I'm not usually very good at perspective.
Anyway, I may try Hiro Nakamura next, as he's also one of my favourite characters.
There is something a little off about it- but I love it. I like the hair and shading a whole lot. The shape of the face and lips are a little off but the eyes and expression are great!
Thanks for the comment. I'm not too good with lips, and I rubbed those ones out three or four times before deciding that right I'm kind of happy with it, and the shape of the face was a real pain to do, so I kept reshaping it.
Haha, I thought anyone who watches the show will know who he is, and at least he was recogniseable, so decided to keep him like this.
I still may change parts in the future yet mind. Haha.
That is true. I love Heroes. Seen every episode so far and I own the first season on DVD. Lips, fingers/toes, and ears are hard human features- for me at least. Just have to develop a cognitive ability to have your pencil follow the lines your eyes focus on.
i agree with the other person. the top half is really good and you can tell that its him, but bottom half may need a little work in my opinion.
still, great work though.

It's quite annoying as they're a key feature of every human's face. I guess if I keep practicing it'll help.
Not ever tried to draw toes or feet. I've always drawn boots or shoes of some kind.
Season 2 of Heroes isn't out here in England yet, so I'm only up to the episode where Mr.Invisible shoves Peter off of the 39 story roof top. It's a very good show though!
Yea, the jawline and lips seemed a little off, no matter how much I tampered with them.
I think what I need to do is possibly bring the left side of the face (Peter's right cheek) in at an angle a little bit, and just make it a tad thinner, then rework on his lip.
Hiro shall be next hopefully.
Cheers for the comment mate. Hopefully I'll see you soon when you've next got some time off.
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
DeviantArt is full of extremely well produced artistic fashion and fine art photographs. Make up. Styling. Creation of scenery. Story. Light. Glamour. A combination of these expressions sometimes make up a great photograph. But the protagonists of these pictures are usually female.
So... now it's the time for male models to come into focus.
